The Perfect Beginning

Here then in this, the second verse of Scripture, is where God so clearly demonstrates His will (His eternal counsel, His forever decrees), alongside His work and His long-suffering or His patience. You may be thinking: “How can this be? In this formless estate? How does this demonstrate the WILL of God? Even in this unformed form; even in this incomplete, this unfinished state . . . the Triune God is clearly, unequivocally exercising His sovereign will in calling into existence that which was not, in moving over it, and in demonstrating His long-suffering as He does not create, from man's perspective, in one moment, but step-by-step, as a diligent Workman.
