Zechariah's Second Burden - The Day of Deliverance: The Day's Uniqueness

After proclaiming the Lord's purpose and provision in this day of judgment and intervention, Zechariah turned his attention to the day's uniqueness. This distinction is important, for there were many such "days" of divine intervention and rescue in Israel's history and the prophet wanted his hearers to understand that this particular day would stand unique among all others. It would accomplish what its previous counterparts only signified and prefigured.
