Unintending Actors

God is sovereign; man is responsible. The Bible teaches both. We see in this passage, where Jesus is entitled "The King of the Jews" by Pilate, and His clothing is taken by the Roman soldiers, that God's sovereign purpose is worked out to the very detail, yet it is done by men who do not mean to do it. Amazing!

We also see Jesus doing His High Priestly work at the Cross, fulfilling all prophecy and saving His elect to the uttermost!
