Purpose: To introduce the book of Habakkuk and to encourage the congregation to cry to the LORD in times of perplexity and distress because of the evil around, and to trust in Him.

First, we are living in times that are not altogether different from the days of Habakkuk. We are living in times that are not altogether different from Habakkuk.

Second, we learn from our text that we can cry out to the LORD at such times. We can cry out to the LORD at such difficult and distressing times. “How long, O LORD?”

The third and final thought I’ll like to leave us is this: that the LORD does not leave us without a word. The LORD does not leave us without a word.
