Beware of the Scribes

Jesus warned his disciples about the scribes. They were religious hypocrites - adhering to their law and practices to receive the praise of men. They sought any excuse to reject Jesus. They were always more concerned with the recognition they received from men than the acceptance of God. Well, at least we don't have to worry about them...Or do we? If we examine the scriptures, we'll find many scribes are still around us. If we then examine ourselves, we may find a bit of the scribes IN us.
