The Righteous Branch

Isaiah extols the glory and hope of the Coming Righteous Branch, the Messiah of Israel. Christ will usher in the New Heavens and New Earth at his second coming. Just as the "Branch" was despised and rejected and yet endured triumphantly out of the despair of destruction, so also the people of God, who have been grafted into the branch by faith shall experience the same opposition and the same triumph.
