God's Judgment on Cities

Even though they were as lush and blessed as the Garden of Eden and enjoyed all the outward benefits of God's blessing, the citizens of Sodom and Gomorrah were ungrateful and used them to fulfil their own lusts. Although God extended mercy in delaying judgment and sending Lot to reprove them, yet the cup of God's wrath filled to the point that one day sudden judgment was necessary.
