Like a Stone Most Precious

This text is a picture of the church in glory. John, the apostle, was called by God's powerful and faithful angel to a heavenly vision. The church is called "the bride" and "the Lamb's wife". She was presented to Christ at the Cross and there the marriage union was consummated. She is also called "the great city" and "the holy Jerusalem". No city on earth compares to her. Holy is so ascribed because all sin, depravity and apostasy are gone.
