That's Not What I Was Taught

Sometimes we read the Word of God and are shocked when what we read seems to disagree with a closely held belief. “That’s not what I was taught” or “My God would not do that” are first thoughts. When Jesus says something shocking, controversial or against what we think (which he often does!) remember, He is right and if we disagree, we are wrong. Take Him at His authoritative Word and rethink.
