"Demas Hath Forsaken Me"

One of the saddest statements in the New Testament is Paul's lament in 2 Timothy 4:10, "For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world..." One who claims to be a Christian but who refuses to forsake the world to follow and serve Christ may well be a make-believer or false convert.
