God-Given Roles

When God had created Adam He said that man should have a helper suited to him just as was the case with the animals. None of the animals could fill that role no matter how intelligent. So God made woman as one who completes man rather than being identical to him. The man is to lead the household of faith to worship the Lord and is known for this work. The woman is to be known by her good works. Certainly both are to pray and both are to do good works but man and woman are to be known for their specific roles. Our salvation comes by the man leading to God and by the woman giving birth so that the Messiah is born into the world.
