I. The Right Way to Preach the Gospel 2:17

A.  Sincerely 

      The sincere preacher:
	1.  preaches from the fruit of his own study.
	2.  preaches from his own convictions
	3.  preaches from the depths of his own life.
	4.  preaches with courage.
	5.  preaches Christ above all 

B.  Wth a God-Consciousness

	1.  He preaches as one sent from God.
	2.  He preaches under the All-seeing eye OF God.		

C.  In Christ

	1.  Our preaching needs to be Christ-o-centric   		2.  Our lives need to be Christ-o-centric 

II. Letters of Commendation 3:1-3

1 Cor. 4:15b-16;  11:1 – Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.

This matter of “commendation” is a re-occuring theme in 2 Cor.

4:2, 5:12, 6:4, 10:12; 10:18, 12:11

III. The Letter and the Spirit 3:4-11

The New Covenant in its preexistent, heavenly state reaches back and
stretches its eternal wings over the Old' -G. Vos .

A.  Ministers of the New Covenant  3:4-6			

	The Mosaic economy was glorious in its time.
	The New Covenant is even more glorious.
	The New Covenant is a foretaste of the Eternal State
