The Caring God

Aim: To understand that God cares about all the various facets of His church's life.

Exegesis: God takes care of our relational problems. He helps us when conflict is inevitable (vv. 16-18) and when conciliation is attainable (v. 19). God takes care of our theological problems. Let us trust in the Lord's goodness (v. 20a), and let us rest in the Lord's righteousness (v. 20b). God takes care of our gigantic problems, by giving us His power (v. 21) and security (v. 22). God takes care of our daily problems. We have the assurance of the Lord's blessing (v. 23a) and peace (v. 23b).

Key verse: v. 23 ''So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD had said to Moses; and Joshua gave it as an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. Then the land rested from war.''
