Unfaithful Therefore Unfruitful

Israel was pictured as a vine in this passage. The main purpose of having a vine is to get fruit. There are two essentials to having a vineyard: prune vines and take care of the branches. The pruning is sometimes painful, but it's that you may know that He is God. Remember who's got the knife. It's God who does the cutting. We are pruned that we might bear much fruit.

If we are unfaithful, we will be unfruitful. Simply obey what God says do. Remain in His love by being obedient to what He has revealed.
