Concluding Exhortations and Commandments (4)

Today we again address only one verse in the concluding exhortations of 1 Thessalonians 5. It was not my original intention to spend this many weeks on this last section of 1 Thessalonians 5, but how can we just quickly “touch” on verse 19, which reads, “Do not quench the Spirit”? And so, we address this matter today. I found a message on this verse by Thomas Boston (17th century) very good and helpful, and so I summarized much of what he said toward the end of the notes.
