Bartimaeus - Meeting His Need

There are several significant lessons we can learn from the account of Blind Bartimaeus coming to The Lord Jesus Christ. Perhaps the most significant was that he knew his need. Surely this impacts us all, as we face the question 'do we know our own need'? Secondly, he knew who Jesus was; he was 'the Son of David'; he believed that he was the promised Messiah, and the only one who could meet his perceived need. He wasn't easily put off, despite discouragements he persevered till Jesus did for him that which he alone could accomplish. He also wanted more than just physical healing and the restoration of his sight, he believed Jesus could help him and he followed him faithfully. What about you, will you believe and follow Jesus?
