The Will of God in Evil Days

Aim: To be more than conquerors as the church, in this world.

Doctrine: God's will in evil days is refreshingly upbeat. Just when it seemed that cultural darkness would overwhelm the church, resurrection hope buoys the souls of God's saints.

Exegesis: Three facets of the will of God in evil days: first, it is to be carefully internalized (v. 17); then, it is to be joyfully verbalized (vv. 18-19); finally, it is to be miraculously utilized (vv. 20-21).

Further application: How the church may perform the will of God in evil days: by thinking above the ways of the world, and by acting in accord with who we are, in Christ.
