How To Win a Spiritual Battle

Aim: To learn principles necessary for success in the fray of life.

Exegesis: We should anticipate the storm of war. Our advance will be feared (vv. 1-3), our task will be formidable (v. 4), and our foes will be focused (v. 5). We should heed the words of God. All of our assurance hangs on them (v. 6a) and all of our dependence rests in them (v. 6b). We should seize the initiative of faith. Our God makes us fearless (v. 7), invincible (v. 8), and obedient (v. 9).
