Assyrian Captivity Part 3

The dispersion of Israel, the ten northern tribes, by the Assyrians laid the foundation for the political, social, and religious condition of the land of Galilee which we see revealed in the gospels. This was the context of the majority of our Lord's earthly ministry. Understanding this will help to understand such incidents as the Syrophoenician woman, the Samaritan woman and the city of Sychar and our Lord's conversations with them.
