The Pastor's Prayer for His People

Jesus is the Great Shepherd, but He has given us pastor and teachers and evangelists "For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:" There is a great difference between a hireling and a pastor sent from God. One is there for his own gain, while the other is there to look after God's flock. One will flee when trouble comes, but the other will not.
