Main idea: We must adopt Christ’s attitude of humility toward one another!

• He was in the form of God (5-6)

 He was equal with God

 He did not count equality with God something to grasp

• He emptied Himself (7)

 By taking the form of a slave

 By being born in the likeness of men

• He humbled Himself (8)

 He was found in human form

 He was obedient to the point of death

 Even death on a cross

Applications

We must humble ourselves before our fellow Christians as Jesus did for us.

We must be willing to sacrifice whatever is needed
for the welfare of our fellow believers.
