The Wonderful Counselor

Four words represent four aspects of a personal ministry relationship, four ways to serve as ambassador in someone's life: Love, Know, Speak, and Do. These are not phases but elements of biblical ministry. Love highlights the importance of relationship in the process of change. Know has to do with getting acquainted with the people God sends our way. Speak involves bringing God's truth to bear on this person in this situation. Finally, we must help our friends Do something with what they learn – to apply the Word to daily living.
