The Collections for the Churches of Judaea

After a lengthy section of this second letter to persuade the Corinthian saints of the legitimacy of Paul's love and service for them, he turns to the topic of helping the poor saints in Judea. The churches there have suffered under drought conditions for over twenty years and are in desperate need of help. Paul hopes that the Corinthians might follow the example set by their neighbors to the north, the churches of Macedonia.
