Lifelong Discipleship

The Great Commission is about making disciples of Jesus from every nation by baptizing them into the name of the Triune God and teaching all that Christ commanded. Baptism is not the end but the beginning, a sign and seal of God's covenant of grace through which we enter into a life of discipleship. There are significant parallels between a wedding ceremony that issues in lifelong marriage and baptism that issues in lifelong discipleship.
