The Sufficiency of the Cross of Christ

The scriptures are clear that the faith that saves from the penalty, power, and presence of sin is faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ, and Him alone as the Savior from sin. False teacher were in denial and continue in denial that His death on the cross was the full and final payment for sin. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the proof that the work of salvation was finished. The boast of salvation is a boast in the cross of Jesus Christ, not a boast of the success of the teacher, preacher, or any such church leader. By faith in Christ alone, the believer is thereby identified with Him in His death, burial, and resurrection as God sees the sinner who has died and been raised to new life. The believer has been crucified with Christ. The world is crucified with Christ. The flesh is crucified with Christ. The 'old man' is crucified with Christ. So says God, all by faith in Christ Jesus.
