The Election Goal

This sermon looks at the fact that God's people are saved only because God chooses them and that He does this according to His own secret counsel and not because they did anything to distinguish them from other sinners. We see too, how all the arguments that are brought against this teaching have been thoroughly dealt with by Paul. In the sermon we also see how central thanksgiving and praise are to be in the hearts of God's redeemed children and thus we are rebuked for neglecting this vital and holy use of our mouths.
