The Treachery of Saul

Saul's jealousy is displayed in this account in a very treacherous way. Saul, while appearing Godly and generous, was seeking to arrange David's death. Satan is cunning and the hypocrisy of men if often dressed in spiritual language. We also see that humility is a requirement in the believer. He who humbles himself will be exalted. We cannot hide our Christianity. People will take notice. Others should see Christ in us.
