Seeking the Lord First
Matthew 6:33 – But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Deuteronomy 6:5 – And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Colossians 3:2 – Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

Redeeming the Time
Ephesians 5:15-16 – See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Psalm 90:12 – So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

Colossians 4:5 – Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.

Avoiding Worldly Distractions
1 John 2:15-17 – Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. Filling Your Life with God's Word
