Resurrected in Christ (Easter and Baptism)
Series Easter 2016: Romans 6:1-5
00:00 Baptism Sermon
36:05 Testimony
41:40 Baptism
In Romans 6:1-5, Paul uses the physical picture of baptism to encourage the Christian to walk in holiness. Baptism pictures that the Christian has been spiritually baptized into Christ--he has died in Christ, been buried in Christ, has been resurrected in Christ, is united to Christ, and is united to Christ's body.
In this sermon (given on the Sunday of Easter), that the Christian has been resurrected in Christ, united to Christ and united to Christ's body is explained. And the significance of Christ's resurrection is emphasized: Christ's resurrection's Substance, Salvation and Sanctification.
