Our Sure and Steadfast Anchor

The writer of Hebrews concludes his exhortation to believe in God's oath made to the heirs of Abraham by providing a grounds for that belief. He says our hope is "a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul". But what is this hope that that the writer speaks? Well it's not a what but a who. It's Jesus Christ, the one whom we can hold fast to for He is the one who allows us to enter into the holy of holies, the very presence of God.

And Christ has done this because was our "forerunner" who paved the way to our 24/7 access to the Father. That is why is rightly our "high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek."
