J.C. Ryle's Expository Thoughts on the Gospel of Matthew 6:16-24

In this passage Ryle is still dealing with the Sermon on the Mount, and the teaching which Jesus gave on a variety of subjects. Here, he speaks briefly on fasting, worldliness and singleness of purpose in religion. There is much more that could be said in a fuller commentary on these verses from the Gospel of Matthew, but this brief exposition is undoubtedly helpful, and may lead those sufficiently interested to a fuller and deeper study of the subjects covered.
