Do you Love Me?

Last week we looked at the start of Christ’s third appearance to the disciples. Peter leads a group back to fishing on the Sea of Galilee. Christ calls out to them in the morning asking if they have any food. They didn’t. He tells them to cast their nets on the right side of the boat and they will find, and so it is. They now recognize that it is the Lord and Peter puts his clothes on and swims to shore while the rest row a small boat to shore dragging a net full of large fish. They are now at the place to listen, seeing the Lord and aware of His power and authority. This is where we all want to be. Sitting listening to the Lord, but I warn you, it isn’t an easy place and this isn’t enough. It is the start, now Christ will deal with their sin. So it is with us. When we come to realize who Jesus is, then it is time to hear His voice and start to deal with our sin. Let’s look at Christ’s conversation with Peter and His question about Peter’s love.
