The Human Condition

This class session is an exposition of the first PCA membership vow: "Do you acknowledge yourselves to be sinners in the sight of God, justly deserving His displeasure, and without hope save in His sovereign mercy?" Thus, it covers what it means to be a sinner, why God evaluates us as sinners, what we deserve from God, and how His undeserved mercy is the source of all our hope.
