Encountering Religion Without Grace

In this passage, Mark introduces us to Herod the Tetrarch, a man who encountered and even respected religion. A man who listened and even heeded some tenets of the religion he encountered. A man who ultimately could see religion but could not see Christ. He is an example of one who encounters religion outside of God's mercy and grace.
