The Brevity of Life Under the Sun

Rather than a lack of value resulting in vanity or meaningless, Solomon as the preacher, was speaking of the life on the earth as being transitory. With the wisdom God gave to him, he shares that wisdom telling how to enjoy the life God gives. It also becomes clear that the wisdom God gives is what is necessary to enjoy the life given by God, while living under the sun for the purposes God intends. The life God gives is far from meaningless having value, purpose, and intention which are only known, realized, and actualized by knowing God and the wisdom He gives.
