A. THE BEAST FROM THE EARTH

 1.  An imposter  [11]

      a.  Looks like a lamb

      b.  Speaks like a dragon

      c.  Does not look dangerous:  only two horns

      d.  Comes from the earth  [Jam 3.13-16]

 2.  A deceiver  [12-15]

      a.  Makes people worship the wrong object

      b.  Performs great signs  [Mat 24.24]

 3.  His mark  [16-18]

      a.  The number of God:  seven  [1.4;  4.5;  5.6;  10.3] 

      b.  The number of man:  six

  4.  His names:  the false prophet, the harlot, the anti-Christ 

B. WHERE WE SEE THIS BEAST AT WORK TODAY

 1.  False religions and cults

 2.  Liberal Christianity

 3.  Distorted Christianity

 4.  New Age spirituality

C. OUR DEFENSE

 1.  We need to saturate our minds with God's Word  [Rom 12.2]

 2.  We need to pray for wisdom and discernment  [Eph 1.15-19;  Col 1.9-12]

 3.  We need to stay in fellowship with one another  [Psa 1]
