The believer's perfection

God called Abraham, in this chapter to walk the path of perfection. What is mean't by this command.
Do we lower the standard of God because experientially we have found ourselves far from perfect?
Do we ignore this command, or do we sink in despair.
This message, whilst looking at God's covenant with Abraham in a general sense, considers the obligation, indeed the objective believers should have concerning perfection.
