Adrift with God

Paul was not ruled by his circumstances. He knew that whatever affliction the Lord brought into his life was purposeful. The whole sum of God’s will is wonderfully good and perfectly righteous. We can therefore trust the Lord because we know that our affliction and suffering is not without purpose. We can entrust our souls to a faithful Creator. We may be adrift at sea like Paul, but in an ultimate sense, we are not adrift. Our souls are not adrift when we are in Christ.
