Seeker-Sensitive Worship vs. Scripture
Series What Is The Reformed Faith?
"Is it possible to find a single instance in Scripture of accepted worship that was not prescribed by God?" -- James Begg, "Anarchy In Worship"
Should we choose a church based on its "worship style," where we feel the most comfortable? Where we feel the most spiritual, where we have the most friends, where we like the music the best, etc.?
Shouldn't churches have various "styles" in different services to attract the most people? After all, isn't the mission of the church to bring the Gospel to the most people?
There are a lot of Christians who believe as long as you are sincere in your worship the Lord doesn't really care about the details. Maybe He did in Old Testament times, but we are living under grace now, not law.
They forget you can be sincere and still be wrong.
This sermon attempts to show how God's Word answers the question, "What is the proper way to worship God?"
