Pilate: What Will You Believe?

Proverbs 8:10-11 -Choose my instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than choice gold,
for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her.

Who Was Pilate?
He was a man of conflict

1. With the Roman Empire
2. With the Jewish People
3. With Herod

He was a man of Convenience

1. He didn't want to know the charge
2. He didn't want to know the validity of Christ's authority
3. He didn't want to know the truth

He was a man of compromise

1. He tried to give Jesus off to Herod
2. He had Jesus beaten to appease the Jews
3. He negotiated to release Jesus over Barabbas

What will we do with Jesus?
1.Will we play Politics with Him?
2.Will we Ignore Him?
3.Will we Embrace Him?
