The Christian in the World

As we live among the kingdoms of this world, there will indeed be persecution - but we are also salt and light, because we are the children of God. So take heart. Salt that isn't salty is like a candle under a basket - not much point.
The more we are conformed to this world, the more unsalty our salt is and the darker our light is.
Let it shine, so that men might know we serve the living God.
