The Crucifixion of Jesus (Part 1)

The trials are now over, the betrayals, and the denials are done – we've reached the crucifixion of Jesus. This bloody and horrific scene it the center point of history. It's where redemption occurred and humanity – cursed by sin – found hope in God's Son.

But why did it have to happen? Why did Jesus have to suffer like this? What can we learn from these gruesome details?

Well, it seems we can learn a lot, since it will take us several weeks to cover this event. But it's worth it, because it's Christ's sacrifice that makes sinners clean and able to avoid the righteous judgement of a holy God, as we'll learn from today's message
