#161 How Important Is Humility To God?

If these are the last days then we are among those who are referred to as having a greater than normal regard for self, "lovers of their own selves" (2 Tim. 3:2). To gain favor with God requires humility so why aren't there more messages on humility? Preaching on this is an open confession that is embarrassing to the speaker and how can we as proud individuals receive such a message? Answer: "in the last days men will not endure sound doctrine" (see 2 Tim. 4:3).
