ANSWERED PRAYERS AND SOUNDING TRUMPETS, PART 3: TRUMPETS 3 & 4
TEXT: REVELATION 8:7-12

SUMMARY OF CHAPTER 8: Chapter eight, which begins a new and more intense series of judgments, reveals events from several points of view as God oversees His perfect plan. As the trumpets are sounded, the saints are constant in their prayers, worldlings are confounded in their sins, and the heavenly beings are confident in their Master’s cause.

I. THE SAINTS ARE CONSTANT IN THEIR PRAYERS (VV. 1-5).

II. WORLDLINGS ARE CONFOUNDED IN THEIR SINS.
A. Trumpets: God’s final warning.

B. Trumpets 1-4, vv. 6-12.

1. First Trumpet, v. 7: hail, fire & blood on the earth.
2. Second Trumpet, vv. 8-9: a burning mountain in the sea.
3. Third Trumpet, vv. 10-11: a great falling star.
4. Fourth Trumpet, v. 12: the sun, moon & stars darkened.
