A Biblical View of Authority

Five Reflections on Biblical authority:

1. Biblical authority is given for edification and not for destruction (v. 8).

2. Biblical authority is not concerned with competition or comparison (v. 12).

3. Biblical authority is content to remain within the boundaries of its God-given sphere of influence (vv. 13-16).

4. Biblical authority glories in the Lord (v. 17).

5. Biblical authority does not commend itself, but seeks the Lord's approval (v. 18).
