Over the last few chapters in this series, we saw the command to forgo your own Christian liberties (that is any gray area that the bible does not specifically forbid us doing) in order to love your fellow Christian. We will see Paul extend this same principal as he describes his biblical right, that is God-given right, to ministerial pay. Paul is willing to sacrifice a salary from his work in ministry in order to better love the congregants of the Corinthian church.
