The Sadducees attempt to make Jesus look foolish for his belief in the resurrection backfired on them when our Lord showed. them from their own texts (Exo. 3:4-6) that Yahweh was still in a living relationship with the deceased patriarchs, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Such a relationship must necessarily be consummated ultimately in their resurrection from the dead.
