Edwards: Religious Affections 5. Extremes of Emotion

Edwards brings out that in some periods of time, emotional response to the Gospel is all that is looked at, with no discernment about fruit etc. In others, all emotionalism is considered out of place. Edwards says that if you have no spiritual "affections", you have no true "religion."
