Christ Has Made Me His Own

In Phil 3:12, Paul says, "Christ Jesus has made His own." That's why his all-consuming passion is to know the one who has claimed him for His purpose. While Paul's conversion on the road to Damascus was more dramatic than most Christians, all of Christ's followers come to Him in the same way. There are none who seek God (Rom 3:11). He must seek us. If we come to Christ it is because He has already laid claim to us through divine election (Eph 1:4, John 6:37).
