An Amazing Love Story

"The beginning of the word of the Lord by Hosea. And the Lord said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and the children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the Lord" (Hosea 1:2).

It is indeed an unusual story. God told Hosea to marry a wife of whoredoms. She would be unfaithful to him but he was to love her. This relationship depicted what Israel had done in being unfaithful to God by worshipping idols. But what grace is seen as Hosea displayed love for his wayward wife and God displayed love for His wayward people.
